The Enon Apple Butter Festival, sponsored by the Enon Community Historical Society, is celebrating 40 years!
The Historical Society prepares apple butter the old-fashioned way in 50-gallon coper kettles, cooked over open wood-burning fires. The apple butter is then canned and sold at the festival in the afternoon. Specialty food will be available for purchase, including: pork chops, hot dogs, chicken noodles, apple dumplings, walking tacos, funnel cakes, sausages, hamburgers, peanuts in the shell, shaved ice and of course, APPLE BUTTER! Other booths will include delicately handmade crafts and gifts from local vendors. Music and entertainment add ambiance to the old-fashioned family-fun event. Greenon marching band and choir will provide entertainment during the opening ceremonies at 10 am on Saturday.
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Free parking is available.
The Festival will be open from 10am-6pm on Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.
